Refund and Cancellation Policy
How cancellation and refunds operate, who administers them, and the circumstances in which we will support a request.

- Last updated

Summary
- Your IDRS score is provided free of charge, and there is accordingly nothing in respect of which a refund could arise.
- Purchases are made within the App, so Apple and Google receive the payment and, accordingly, they and not we administer refunds.
- Request a refund from the store first: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Google Play in your order history. You should then email us, and we will support the request.
- Cancellation during the 2-week free trial results in no charge whatsoever, and there is therefore nothing to refund. After the trial, cancellation stops the next charge but does not refund the current one: access continues until the end of the 3-month period already paid for.
- If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or paid and were unable to use the Service, please email contact@goglux.in and we will support the request in writing.
- Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
This policy sits alongside our Terms and Conditions and expands clause 12 of them. In the event of any inconsistency between the two, the Terms govern.
1. What you are paying for
| Item | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Your IDRS score, band and breakdown | Free | No charge at any time |
| Glux membership — the 90-day plan, tracking, reminders and the day-90 retake | Free for 2 weeks, thereafter ₹499 | No amount during the trial. Thereafter every 3 months, charged at the commencement of each period, auto-renewing until cancelled |
1.1 The 2-week free trial is the only discount offered. It converts automatically unless cancelled before it ends, and the ₹499 charged thereafter is not an introductory rate: every renewal is charged at the same amount, being approximately ₹167 per month. The trial is granted by the App Store or Google Play and is subject to their rules; it is available once per store account, and an account that has previously subscribed to Glux may not be offered it. Prices are stated in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes as displayed by the app store at the point of purchase.
1.2 We do not place the response to a higher-risk score behind a payment. Your score, your band and the general next steps accompanying it — including any recommendation to consult a doctor and obtain a confirmatory blood test — are provided free of charge, and no purchase is required in order to obtain them.
2. Who administers refunds
2.1 Every purchase is made within the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their respective terms. They receive the payment, they hold the billing relationship, and they determine and administer refunds under their own policies. We do not receive your card, UPI or bank details, and we are unable to reverse a charge.
2.2 Accordingly, the most direct route to a refund is the store itself, and our role is to respond promptly and accurately when the store makes enquiries of us in relation to your case. Please email us and we will do so. See section 5.
3. How to request a refund
3.1 Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad)
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in using the Apple Account with which the purchase was made.
- Locate the Glux purchase, select “Request a refund”, and select the applicable reason.
- Submit the request. Apple reviews it and notifies you of the outcome by email.
The same request may be made on your device under Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History.
3.2 Google Play (Android)
- Open the Google Play Store application, tap your profile picture, and select Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
- Locate the Glux order and select Request a refund, or use Google’s refund request form.
- Google reviews the request and notifies you of the outcome by email.
Google’s self-service window is limited, typically to the first 48 hours following purchase. Requests made after that period may be referred to us, and we respond to them.
3.3 Notification to us
Whatever the store determines, please email contact@goglux.in stating the store from which you purchased, the date of purchase, and the nature of the problem. We acknowledge within 48 hours. If your case falls within section 5, we will write to the store in support of it.
4. Cancellation is distinct from a refund
4.1 Cancellation and refund are distinct. Cancellation prevents future charges. It does not refund a charge already made.
- (a) To cancel, use your App Store or Google Play account settings. Subscriptions are administered there and not within Glux.
- (b) Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your Glux account. Cancellation must be effected in the store, failing which renewals will continue to be charged.
- (c) Cancellation takes effect at the end of the 3-month period already paid for. Full access continues until that date, and no further amount is charged thereafter.
4.2 Cancellation must be effected at least 24 hours before a renewal date. The stores process renewals in advance, and a cancellation made later than that may not prevent that cycle’s charge.
5. Circumstances in which we will support your request
5.1 In the following circumstances, if you email us we will support your refund request to Apple or Google in writing and, where the store instead refers the decision to us, we will approve it:
- (a) a duplicate or accidental charge — you were billed twice for the same item, or billed for an item you did not purchase;
- (b) a charge following cancellation — you cancelled in time and a renewal was nonetheless processed;
- (c) payment without access — a fault on our side meant that your purchase did not unlock the Service, and we were unable to remedy it within a reasonable time;
- (d) an unauthorised purchase — a purchase made on your account by another person, including a child, without your permission; or
- (e) withdrawal of a paid feature — see section 9.
5.2 Please notify us within 30 days of the charge where possible. A later notification remains worth sending: we will still consider it, and no legal right of yours is affected by this timeframe.
6. Circumstances in which a refund is generally unavailable
6.1 Save where refusal would contravene applicable law, amounts already paid in respect of a period that has commenced are non-refundable. In particular:
- (a) a change of mind well into a paid period. The ₹499 covers 3 months of access, available to you from the first day of that period.
- (b) partial periods. Cancellation part-way through a 3-month period does not give rise to a pro-rata refund of the unused portion; access continues instead to the end of that period.
- (c) non-use. An unused subscription remains an active subscription and must be cancelled in order to stop charges. A free trial that is not cancelled becomes a paid subscription in the same way.
- (d) dissatisfaction with the AI-generated plan. Please contact us first. The plan is AI-generated general wellness guidance (see our wellness disclaimer), and we would prefer to correct it than to leave you with a plan that does not suit you.
- (e) expectations as to outcome. Glux does not promise any health outcome, and a refund cannot therefore be founded on an outcome not having occurred, no such outcome having been represented.
6.2 These are our default positions and not an absolute bar. Apple and Google may grant refunds outside them, and we do not object where they do so.
7. Time taken to process a refund
7.1 Refunds are issued by the store, to the original payment method, on the timelines of the store and of your bank — typically a few business days, and up to approximately 30 days for certain payment methods in India. We are unable to expedite or track a refund, as the payment did not pass through us. Apple and Google each notify you by email when a refund is approved, and that email should be retained as your record.
7.2 Where a refund is granted, the access it paid for ends, either immediately or at the end of the current period, depending on the store.
8. Expiry of a subscription, and locked accounts
8.1 Where your subscription ends, whether because you cancelled or because a renewal payment failed, your account is locked upon the expiry of the period paid for. Locking is not a charge and does not give rise to any refund entitlement: the 3 months paid for were delivered in full.
8.2 Your data is not deleted when your account is locked, and payment is never a condition of exercising your data rights. Whether or not you hold an active subscription, you may email contact@goglux.in at any time to obtain a copy of your data, to correct it, or to have your account and its data deleted. We will not require you to pay, subscribe or renew in order to do so. See the Privacy Policy.
9. Withdrawal of a paid feature
Features may change over time. If we discontinue or materially remove a paid feature you have already purchased, we will give reasonable notice and will address any resulting refund fairly and in accordance with applicable law, including by requesting that the store refund the unused portion of the amount you paid.
10. Your rights under Indian consumer law
10.1 Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable consumer law, and nothing in it constitutes a waiver of those rights. Where a term of this policy conflicts with a right conferred on you by law, the law prevails.
10.2 You may additionally hold rights under Apple’s and Google’s own terms, which apply to your purchase independently of this policy.
11. Contact and grievance redressal
11.1 Please email contact@goglux.in stating the store from which you purchased, the date of purchase and the circumstances. Correspondence is reviewed by a person.
11.2 For a formal complaint, our Grievance Officer is Marimuthu, contactable at the same address. We acknowledge within 48 hours and endeavour to resolve within 15 days, as set out in clause 21 of the Terms.
