How it works

From four questions to 90 days of habits

Glux turns two minutes of answering into a number you understand — and a plan you can start on tomorrow.

The Glux app showing a demo Indian Diabetes Risk Score of 40 out of 100 in the moderate-risk band, with a breakdown of which answers added up: age 0 points, waist 0 points, physical activity 30 points, family history 10 points.
Illustrative — a demo score, not a real person’s result. Glux is a wellness app, not a medical device.

Your score, and what drove it

Glux applies the published IDRS scoring table on our server and returns your score exactly as the instrument defines it. You see the number, the band it falls in, and how much each of your four answers contributed. It never renders a diagnosis — it helps you have a better conversation with your doctor.

The Indian Diabetes Risk Score was developed and validated by the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation. Glux applies its published scoring table — it does not invent the score or the bands. Mohan V et al., J Assoc Physicians India, 2005.

The journey

Five steps

  1. Step 1

    Answer

The Indian Diabetes Risk Score asks four things: your age, your waist measurement, how active you are, and whether your parents have diabetes. It takes about two minutes. There is no lab, no device and no blood draw at any point.

  2. Step 2

    Know your score

Glux applies the published IDRS scoring table and shows you your score, the band it falls in, and how much each answer contributed. Your score, your band and the next steps that come with it are free — including the prompt to see a doctor if your band warrants one.

  3. Step 3

    Get your plan

Glux generates a 90-day plan around your age, weight, activity level and food preferences, organized into weeks, daily to-dos and milestones at day 30, 60 and 90. The plan is AI-generated wellness guidance, not a treatment plan, and no clinician has reviewed it.

  4. Step 4

    Track

Log your habits by hand in a few taps and watch the rings and streaks fill in. Reminders are opt-in and easy to switch off. Connect Apple Health or Health Connect and your steps, exercise and sleep fill themselves in — read on your phone and never uploaded to us.

  5. Step 5

    Take it again

At the end of the program, answer the same questions again and see your before and after side by side. That comparison is the point of the 90 days — small habits, then proof that you kept them.

Your result

What each band means

The IDRS defines three bands. Every one of them comes with a next step.

Lower risk

Score below 30

A good place to be. Glux still offers the 90-day plan, because staying there is its own kind of work.

Moderate risk

Score 30–50

Worth paying attention to. Start the 90-day plan, and mention your score at your next checkup.

Higher risk

Score 60 and above

This is worth a conversation with a doctor and a confirmatory blood test. That advice is free and comes with your score — the plan is offered alongside it, never instead of it.

A risk score is not a diagnosis, and a higher-risk band does not mean you have diabetes or prediabetes. Only a blood test ordered by a doctor can tell you that. See the full wellness disclaimer.
